Harris County Pollution Control Services Department (HCPCS) approached me with a need to revamp and standardize their brand identity. As a government agency dedicated to safeguarding public health and the environment, HCPCS required a professional and cohesive visual identity that would reflect their mission, values, and responsibilities to the community. The goal was to create a set of branding guidelines that would ensure consistency across all internal and external communications, encompassing a wide range of deliverables including logos, event collateral, vehicle wraps, informational materials, and newsletters.
Developed a Distinctive Logo:

Created a logo that embodies the essence of HCPCS, symbolizing their commitment to environmental protection and public safety.

Used fonts that balanced professionalism with readability, suitable for official documents, reports, and digital communications.

Design Process:
Designed brochures and business cards for PCS staff, maintaining a consistent brand identity. The layout was clean and professional, using the brand’s color palette and typography for a cohesive look.

Vehicle Wraps

Harris County Pollution Control Services (PCS) required vehicle wraps for their fleet, including general communication vehicles and the RAAM (Rapid Ambient Air Monitoring) unit. The objective was to design visually appealing and informative wraps that would enhance brand visibility and convey the organization's commitment to environmental protection.
Overall Outcome
Increased Brand Visibility: Both vehicle wraps serve as mobile billboards, increasing PCS's presence in the community and promoting their mission of environmental protection.
Clear Communication: The designs ensure that essential information, such as the PCS logo and contact details, is prominently displayed and easy to read.
Positive Public Response: The professional and modern design of the wraps has contributed to a positive public perception of PCS, reinforcing the organization's dedication to environmental stewardship.

Design Process: 
For the communication vehicle wrap, a clean and modern design was developed using the PCS brand colors and logo. The design incorporated flowing lines and curves to create a dynamic and eye-catching look, symbolizing movement and progress. The layout was kept simple yet bold, ensuring that the logo and contact information were easily readable.
Outcome: 
The final wrap design effectively communicated the brand's identity and mission. The vehicle serves as a mobile advertisement, enhancing brand visibility and making PCS easily recognizable within the community.
RAAM Vehicle Wrap

Design Process: 
The RAAM vehicle wrap required a more specialized design to reflect its role in air quality monitoring. The design integrated elements from the RAAM logo, including the cloud and green wave motifs, to symbolize air monitoring and environmental care. The color scheme was chosen to align with the overall PCS branding while emphasizing the RAAM program’s focus.

The RAAM wrap successfully conveys the purpose of the unit while maintaining brand consistency. The bold graphics and clear branding elements make the vehicle easily identifiable as part of PCS's fleet, aiding in public awareness of their air monitoring efforts.

Created sub-brand logos for specific programs such as the Harris County Concrete Batch Plant Program, PCS Community Conversations, RAAM (Rapid Ambient Air Monitoring), and PCS Emergency Response to maintain brand consistency.
70th Anniversary Logo and Social Media Campaign

Design Process: 
Designed a celebratory 70th Anniversary logo integrating the existing brand elements with a gold ribbon and sparkling effects to add a sense of prestige and celebration. Created social media graphics for an online campaign to commemorate this milestone.

The anniversary logo and campaign successfully elevated the brand's image, attracting positive attention and engagement on social media.
Event Collateral - Environmental Symposium Schedule

Design Process:
Created event collateral including schedules and thank-you cards for the PCS Environmental Symposium. Used a professional and elegant design with a blue and gold color scheme, ensuring readability and a sophisticated look.

Design Process:
Created a visually engaging and informative layout for PCS's newsletter, The Leaf. Organized content into distinct sections with clear headings, using a combination of typography and color to create visual hierarchy and facilitate easy navigation.

A concise animated overview video was created using Vyond to introduce the Harris County Pollution Control Services (PCS) and highlight the key programs and services they provide. The video aimed to inform and engage viewers about PCS's mission and their efforts to protect the environment and public health in Harris County.
